I bought one of these about a month ago and have been extremely impressed with it's performance so far. The rifle itself feels very powerful, almost moreso than it's 495fps rating would imply (probably the result of the higher mass .22 pellets). It sure puts a dirty hole in a pop can, and pierces plastic a .177BB just bounces off with a pointed pellet. The near pistol grip stock fits the hand perfectly and the rubber butt pad is very comfortable and worthy of an actual rifle, not just a pellet gun. I outfitted mine with a bipod and have found the system to be very accurate, even out as far as 60 yards. The scope that comes with this rifle almost leaves me without words, crystal clear image, cool red/green reticule option, lots of magnification, and visually appealing, the addition of front and rear flip caps really makes it stand out. Considering also that this is near an eighty dollar scope on it's own, it really helps rationalize the price as well. I've put almost 500 rounds down the barrel and have had no issues so far. It is a little on the heavy side, and my off-hand shooting sessions have been less than fantastic due to this, but settled down on the bi-pod, I've shot nothing better. The checkering on the stock is beautiful, as is the finish, when I first pulled it from the box I felt kind of gypped thinking it was a plastic stock as opposed the real wood one I wanted, though upon closer inspection, I realized it WAS wood, just sanded so smooth it didn't feel like it! The B on the grip and the BENJAMIN on the underside are also nice, classy touches. Overall fit and finish appears good, I've noticed no looseness forming at the break point, a common complaint on Crosman's lesser rifles. The nickle plating is nice, though mine will eventually be painted over black (I'm just like that). The only thing other than the colour that I intend on changing in the long run will be the addition of a few tactical rails on either side, as well as a longer and larger muzzle break. Visually I feel this will perfect the rifle. My most recent experience with Crosman before this (a T4 pistol) left a bad taste in my mouth, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and bought this gun anyway, and I am very pleased with it. They are redeemed in my eyes (just stay away from the lower priced rifles and anything with an indexing clip, not an across the board rule, just a good tip from my experience, I had a 1088 that was great for many years). I hope this review helps someone make up their mind one way or the other, I sure wish I had one to read before I bought my rifle. Happy shooting.
