The Crosman 2289g works reasonably well as-is, but as I have my PAL, I also ordered some upgrade parts (longer barrel, FTP kit and Crosman steel breech Kit). Now my 2289 shoots amazingly well.
If anyone is sitting on the fence in respect to the Crosman 2289- if you order it and any upgrades, you won't be disappointed.
