Received the rifle exactly as described. This rifle is simply the most beautiful air gun I have ever seen. It has the same weight and feel to it that I would expect from a quality rim fire or small calibre centre fire rifle. The safety mechanism is very simple and convenient. It's a break action style rifle, with moderate to heavy cocking, that activates the safety as soon as you break it open. Sounds tedious, but in fact is very easy to use. The safety lever is just ahead if the trigger inside the trigger guard. Making it easy to acquire the target, then release the safety without loosing the target and fire away. The trigger is a simple two stage trigger, with a light release. Not the sort of thing you'd expect from a high end aftermarket trigger. It's a tiny bit mushy for my liking but I am used to such things as polished Timney triggers. It is surprisingly light for a factory trigger though. Recoil is very similar to my .22mag, maybe even a bit heavier (I have a bull barrel that's very heavy and eats up a lot of recoil).
The fibre sights are amazing, in collect even the most dim of light around you. We were shooting well into dusk, and the sights appeared to self luminating. I actually didn't use them, but will later as my scope seems to be buggered. I mounted it with some center point rings (from this site). The rings are very nice and hold the scope firmly. I used an old scope from my closet (Simmons 4x32 .22 Mag), and got surprisingly consistent results. Shooting 4" clays on a backboard from 30 yards. Then moved back to 50-60 yards, at that point my scope quit, seems my left adjustment ran out, I'm going to try remounting it and seeing if it gets better, but I took it off my model 93 as I wasn't getting consistent results from it there either. That said I could use windage to get accurate results from the rifle with the pattern at about 4" at 60 yards. This being free hand in a standing position. I figure I could barrow that down in a sled or some sand bags. At 30yards I was a much smaller pattern, within about an inch.
As for noise, well there's not much there to report. It's sounds like a beefed up air gun, not so loud as to really bother the neighbors, but I live in a small rural town with a few thousand acres of field behind the house.
Here's some pics of what I received, the scope is mine, and soon to be trash I think.
